My name is Mohammed, the lead photographer at Pixtor Studios based in Dallas, TX. If I were to tell you I’ve always loved photography since I was a young kid, I’d be lying to you. In fact, I disliked getting pictures of me taken and didn’t see the purpose of it. So what changed?

Growing up, my older sister was the shutterbug constantly taking pictures of random occasions or videotaping the every day routine of my siblings’ and my childhood. Although, I didn’t understand why my sister would spend her time on seizing these moments, I grew to appreciate those videos and photos now that I’m an adult.

The first time I laid hands on a camera was during my senior year of high school - a Canon Rebel T7. Completely unaware of all the different components of what made a great image, I took pictures of city skylines, street art, and random things that intrigued me. I started to grasp the various elements and techniques to create beautiful photos and expanded to shooting portraits and events.

Photography is more than simply creating a picture, it’s preserving memories that will live on for generations.
